Here are some tips to consider when using a public computer.

First and foremost, be careful about what sites you access on a public computer.  We don't recommend that you access your online banking account, for example, from a public computer.

Don't save your logon information on a public computer.  Always log out of Web sites by clicking "log out" on the site.  It's not enough to simply close the browser page or type in another address.

Don't leave the computer unattended with sensitive information on the screen.

Erase your tracks.  Many browsers keep a record of your passwords even after you've logged out. Before you go to the web, you can turn off the feature that "remembers" your password.   Look under the browser in tools for internet options.

Delete your temporary Internet files and your history.  Again, go to your browser under tools and look for Temporary Internet Files.

Watch for people who might be looking over your shoulder when you're entering information such as your password.
